Cassie focuses her practice on real estate—both commercial and residential—and business transactions. She represents property owners, individuals, developers, and small businesses in property sales, disputes and transactions.
Formerly an in–house attorney for Hollywood Entertainment Corporation (Hollywood Video), Cassie has extensive experience in shopping center development, and commercial lease negotiation and preparation. She drafts covenants, conditions and restrictions (CCRs), shared use and road maintenance agreements, easements, purchase and sale agreements, and license agreements. Her real estate practice extends to adverse possession, boundary line and easement disputes.
Cassie also has extensive experience representing business owners in the initial formation and purchase or sale of their partnership, corporation or limited liability company. As a business and real estate attorney, she understands that every transaction is unique depending on the size of the subject matter, relationship of the parties and time constraints, and that most business deals require a quick response and attention to detail. The focus of her practice works in tandem with these factors and her fees are commensurate with the client’s goals.
Cassie is admitted to the bar in the States of California (1990), Washington (1996), and Oregon (2006). She received her undergraduate education at California State University at Fullerton (B.A., 1986), and her legal education from Southwestern University School of Law (J.D., 1990). While in law school, Cassie was the founding Member of the Real Estate and Finance Society of Southwestern University School of Law.
An active member of her community, Cassie has recently served as a Director of the Evergreen Habitat for Humanity.
Cassie is a member of the Clark County, Washington State and American Bar Associations, and of the State Bar of California.
“The leading rule for the lawyer, as for the man of every other calling, is diligence. Leave nothing for tomorrow which can be done today.”
